Acorndirect News 28 July 2007 #120

Welcome to our weekly newsletter.

Another month draws to a close and this week I have been busy checking on what's arrived and what hasn't. Despite the promises made by publishers earlier in the year we are several CD's on the no show list this month. There's a good collection of new titles due for release in August and you can get a preview here.

We do have three new albums this week and they are all great albums in their individual ways. Many of your favourite worship leaders gathered at Abbey Road Studios to produce Worship at the Abbey, Vineyard UK release their latest offering and in complete contrast we have an almost upbeat Taizé style album from France. Watch out for the new album from Onehundredhours.

Our £9.99 Hillsong Sale continues to offer possibly the best value from a UK website. And of course all our despatches to the UK are POST FREE.
To help you fill the gaps we are listing many Hillsong CDs at just £9.99 each and of course POST FREE to any UK address.

CREDO - JOHN FEATHERSTONE

An original work for Gospel & Classical Choir with a 16-piece contemporary chamber group, CREDO is an impressive, up-market “church-musical” penned by John Featherstone, a British composer of contemporary Christian music, based in France. John has a dozen CDs to his name & tours both solo and with others. His trilogy of cantatas on the birth, life and Passion of Christ have been performed by choirs in Africa, Canada and the French West Indies plus throughout French-speaking Europe. Credo is his first British production for several years. Credo has already been performed in concert in Cambridge, at Sevenoaks Festival and at Guildford Cathedral, with further 2008 tours in train. Self-produced in London in liaison with Dave Leonard Cooke, this is excellent art (in composition, creativity and challenging-content) that straddles past–and-present cultures with flair.
